Went back to Swinderby today after posting turtle dove and barn owl. Two turtle doves confirmed with both being heard and one seen. Also the barn owl was hunting again in broad daylight-rats feeding on muck heaps seem likely. Also: Heard cuckoo Pair of grey partridge 2 whitethroat Pair of lapwing 4 yellowhammer Good numbers of tree sparrows Kestrel Buzzard Spot is by eagle hall wood and seems a bit of an oasis for farmland birds with established hedgerows and set aside.
