Pair of Little Owls on Streetway on return from Frampton Marsh tonight.

Popped into Wyberton Churchyard in the hope of catching up with the semi-regular Barn Owl. No joy on that front, but did get a pair of Tawny Owls calling to each other, including one sat as bold as brass on the roof of the church itself. I even managed to get some hilariously awful moble phone footage of it before it flew back into the shadows!

Report of visit to Frampton can be found on the reserve's bird forum page...

Pectoral Sandpiper and Ruddy Duck both still present.

Popped back down to the Churchyard this evening around 2100hrs. Two juvenile Tawny Owls were huddled up together (and looking very cute) on a gravestone. Both eventually flew up into the trees bordering Wyberton Park, where we continued to observe each other until darkness descended.
