A male Scaup was on the island in front of the hide at around mid-day to-day but stayed for only about 20 minutes before flying north. I have not seen the species here before and do not recall any reports and so could possibly be a first for the site! |

There was one Male there in 2007 Trevor. Still pretty uncommon for the site. |

Thanks Russell - that could have been just before my time here. Still sounds pretty unusual and even rarer to see two Scaups at different sites in two consecutive days! |
