After looking for a couple of weeks in the quarry 11 waxwing seen today in one tree top along with 43 fieldfare in the lower branches. lots of berries in the quarry and hundreds of fieldfare.

Amazing! Over 900 fieldfares concentrated in the NE corner of the quarry (viewable from footpaths) feeding on hawthorn berries and dog rose hips and drinking from melted snow puddles. No sign of waxwings though.

Woodcock 1
Snipe 1
Redwing only 1 !
Mistle thrush 2
Blackbird 30
Starling 50
Sparrowhawk 1
Kestrel 1
Goldfinch 40
