Hi, Just seen a new bird in my small but wildlife friendly garden....A stunning male Bullfinch. Brilliant! ( 21/1 3:10pm ) Earlier I had a Long Tailed tit on the bird table, and yesterday I had a female Reed Bunting on the bird table. Coming home from work today I saw a lone Lapwing on the grass verge on the A52 at Ingoldmells. Very out of place! I am almost tripping over Blackbirds in the garden, but sadly Song and Mistle Thrushes are completely absent. Very Sad. |

Hello Clive Different birds are certainly moving into the garden in search of food. I also had a female Reed Bunting on the bird table this morning. I later had a Mistle Thrush enjoying sliced apples put out in the snow - the first one seen in the garden this year. Cheers Colin |

I had a male bullfinch make an appearance today followed about 15 minutes later by a fieldfare. Both were firsts for the garden - the bullfinch not totally unexpected but the fieldfare was a surprise taking into consideration where I live |
