Another great days birding, todays Highlights:

Bittern 1 (Observed by the bird ringing team flying over the nets around mid-day, last seen flying towards Tennysons. No further sign though despite lots of searching, good chance it could be skulking in a reedbed somewhere!!)
Snow Bunting 58 (2 North) (56 on Greenshanks Creek still)
Lapland Bunting 1 (with Snow Bunts per Rob Watson)
Cetti's Warbler 1 (Mill pond road) present for almost a month now, good chance it might over-winter
Hen Harrier 1 (Ad Male)
Marsh Harrier 1 (Ad Female)
Brambling 2
Barn Owl 3+
Merlin 2
Ring Ouzel 1 (Unusual for this time of year!!)
Corn Bunting 50+
Pink-footed Goose 659 (Feeding to the west of the reserve)
Fieldfare 1
Song Thrush 5
Yellowhammer 1
Waxwing 65+ (per Rob Watson, Garry Wright, Kev Wilson and myself)
Pintail 3 (North) (Per Rob Watson)
Shag 1 (On the sea, per Rob Watson)
Ringed Plover 1

Cheers,

Richard
