2 Barn owls Quartering over fields at 3.30pm
One smaller and darker, no sighn on short ear owl.

Sidney - the SEO was showing in the area where the new benches have been installed close to the Hills & Hollows as well as on Halls Hill.
I saw it myself at 3.40 & also spoke to Dave Roberts who had several good viewings earlier.

As you mention one of the regular Barn Owls is quite dark & with persistence very close views of these birds can be obtained
whilst hunting & perched digesting their prey of which there appears to be an abundant supply.

Presume you were one of the photographers in the field adjacent to Beacon Cottage - sorry I missed you & look forward to seeing
you there again.

Thanks for the info not sure were the new benches are,
first time in that area will try again in the future.
