29th at the south end. Not a lot seen on a two hour sea watch on the falling tide, best being 28 Cormorants, 7 Guillemots, 32 Sandwich Terns, 2 Common Terns, 11 Gannets, Red-throated Diver, Arctic Skua and 14 Wigeon. A party of 10 Siskins arrived off the sea. 30th:- Highlights of a one hour sea watch, again on the falling tide were 48 Gannets, 11 Cormorants, 2 Red-throated Divers, 2 Eiders, 25 Common Scoters, 4 Wigeon, 12 Brent Geese, Guillemot, Sandwich Tern and Great Skua. On the landward side were 3 Kestrels, Peregrine, Spotted Flycatcher, Grasshopper Warbler, Chiffchaff, 2 Goldcrests, 5 Lesser Redpolls and a Lapland Bunting. |
