Today, Richard Lorand and I wandered around from 1400-1700hrs.
Strong winds have caused a large wash-out of sea urchins on the beach and many gulls and waders have appeared. An osprey flew along the tide edge at around 1430hrs and put up around 2,500 gulls and 200 waders:
Osprey, 1
Grey phalarope 1......my 2nd with 1 at Huttoft last week
Curlew sandpiper 2
Sanderling 160+
Dunlin 90
Bar-tailed godwit 42
Oystercatcher 5
Grey plover 3
Curlew 46
GBbGull 120
Herring gull 700
Common gull 900
Black-headed gull 500
In the bushes:
Yellow-browed warbler 1
Chiffchaff 7, local birds
Goldcrest 3
Redstart around 3
Brambling 1
Regards
Cliff
