The Lincolnshire Bird Club

Played a few holes at Market Rasen Golf Club this afternoon - only birds of note were a flock of 12 Mistle Thrushes. I got back to the Clubhouse and the stewardess told me that an hour previously she had heard a bird hit the window and by the time she got to it, her cat had picked it up! She managed to retrieve it and put it in a cardboard box. I had a look and was surprised to find an adult male Kingfisher - it did not appear injured so I took it outside and it flew off strongly (sadly ringless!) A very lucky bird.
