Post subject:  Donna Nook, 18th and 19th September.

Continuing very quiet on the dunes at the south end with more of interest out at sea. The only birds of note on the landward side yesterday, 18th, were 2 Siskins, Willow Warbler and Hobby. 4 Gannets flew north, otherwise other all sea passage was to the south, hence 33 Gannets, 6 Cormorants, 9 Sandwich Terns, Guillemot, Arctic Skua and Great Skua. A Peregrine was on the shore and two skeins of Pinkfeet totalling ca.130 headed south.

Today, 19th, moving north over the dunes were 110 Swallows, 5 House Martins and 2 Yellow Wagtails. 94 Pinkfeet in 3 skeins flew south. 2 Willow Warblers and a Goldcrest were noted. At sea, moving north were 62 Gannets, 4 Cormorants, 4 Sandwich Terns and 5 Mallard. To the south were 108 Gannets, 7 Cormorants, 6 Wigeon, 10 Sandwich Terns and a Great Skua.
