0700-1000hrs Over sea: 17 Gannet offshore heading North. Red-throated diver flying close inshore. 6 Common scoter. 1 Arctic skua. 8 Sandwich tern. 1 Peregrine Falcon. Foreshore: c600 Oystercatcher. (c250 roosted on small island at high tide). Also 35 Curlew, 1 Whimbrel, 150+ Redshank, 3 Greenshank, 55 Grey Plover, 74 Bar-tailed godwit, 21 Dunlin, 45 Ringed Plover (mostly juvs.) Rock pipit on access track. |
