1600hrs south from Brickyard along tide edge and back along dunes.

Gannet c20 fishing within 1/4 mile of shore. Note that 0ver 30 doing same yesterday at Saltfleet, bu didn't include in the list. Withe a report also yesterday of gannets at Mablethorpe, there are clearly fish shoals close to shore along this stretch.

Pink-footed geese, a flock of c75 roosting at tide edge with 29 cormorants. The cormorants between Mablethorpe and Donna Nook are probably in excess of 50 and are earlier arrivals than the last couple of years.

There was a very colourful and dense blooming of nodding thistles in the managed area south of Crook bank this year. Whilst they have obviously gone over to seed, this afternoon they remained very colourful with a flock of almost 80 goldfinches.

Regards
Cliff
