I only went out this afternoon with my bins. My aim was to try reach 50 Breeding birds in the village ( I have been stuck on 49 for 3 months now) The day went well even passing 50 breeding species and a new species. New to my Village list was Little Grebe also confirmed breeding! I saw 1 Adult and 1 Chick. Other confirmed breeding birds were Jay and Lon-tailed tits seeing groups with Juv birds in. Other birds seen 4 Moorhen 2 Ad 2 Juv 2 Coot 1 Ad 1 Juv 2 Mute Swan (This pair have lost the only chick that hatched) 3 Jay 6 Long-tailed Tit 2 Mistle Thrush 8 Curlew 94 Birds now seen in the Village with 53 Confirmed Breeding |
