A patch rarity this morning in the form of a male Ruff feeding on the pool in the cow field just N of Catchwater drain. This pool has usually dried out by this time of the year but in the past I have had Dunlin on it in winter, 3 Greenshank and a Wood Sandpiper in spring. Also 2 Chiffchaffs singing strongly and chasing each other in Catchwater copse. |
