Four Lesser Redpoll showing and calling in the large Hawthorn in my garden this afternoon. First I've seen since April.

One or two have just started to appear at Gib since Tuesday - once commonly breeding here, now reduced to migrant status!

Hi,

The 2010 report data caused me to write this summary paragraph:
The scarcity of Lesser Redpoll in the county in the current decade is underlined by the peak counts.................from just 36 sites across the county. Its status as a passage migrant and winter visitor is also confirmed. It was virtually absent from the county from late March to early October.
