Blackcap 1 My first EVER record in the garden. According to my information it is regarded as exceptional to hear Blackcap singing in September and although the usual hard scolding was absent there were several attempts at a typical rich warbling notes in short phrases!
It would be nice if he over wintered locally. First long-tailed Tits seen in the garden this morning although one has been caught already by our local female Sparrow Hawk!

Plenty of Waders at Butterwick Marsh this morning, particular mention should be made of 2 Spotted Redshank and upwards of 70 Swallows.
