This is an area of mainly arable crops with some pasture, and disected with hedges and drainage ditches.

1-2/sept/2012

Short-eared Owl - sat on a drain bank at 8pm on the 1st.
4 Grey Heron.
5 Green Sandpiper.
30+ Mallard.
2 Buzzard.
Hobby.
39 Curlew.

Also at willoughby:
Hobby.
5 Buzzard incl 4 soaring together.

This time in Sloothby village (8/9/12):

Great-spotted Woodpecker,
Little Egret (over NW),
4 Snipe (over SW),
c100 Swallows,
c50 House Martins,
Pair Kestrel,
Buzzard,
2 Coal tits.

Hobby went east, very quickly at 10:30 today.

Also 2 stock dove, 3 kestrel and c50 swallows were about too.

All in Sloothby.

2 Goldcrest chasing each other round our Sloothby garden this morning.

35+ Mallard,
Mute Swan pair,
2 female type Marsh Harrier.

Peregrine in Sloothby village at 10:50am, came from the NW then circled round for a while before heading E.
Up to 3 Coal Tit aswell.
