Fresher conditions kept most birds low on the landward side. Only a few warblers and one Wheatear seen today. The sea was a bit more lively, however, and on the rising tide between 1015 and 1145 there was northerly passage of 58 Gannets, 8 Cormorants, 2 Fulmars, one Sooty Shearwater, 3 Red-throated Divers, 25 Sandwich Terns, 8 Common Terns, 5 Arctic Skuas, 2 Eiders and 3 Common Scoters. To the south were 185 Sandwich Terns, 33 Gannets, 20 Common Scoters, a Wigeon and 6 Teal. |
