First trip out for three and a half months! Had intended going to Grantham area for the raven etc, but on checking the last three years sightings on two forums realised it may not be worth it plus I'm constantly tired of late and didn't fancy doing a one hundred mile plus round trip. So stayed local.
Left home about 13.30 and drove towards Messingham and Kirton in Lindsey, as I was nearing Cleatham I spotted a raptor, so stopped and watched it from inside car, why I didn't get out I've no idea. I was giving the P510 it's first trip out.... Then spotted another raptor over the trees, managed to get a pic of one of them, because of the height it looks like a silhouette. At the time thought it was two juvs but later at home checking the flight pattern etc think it was two adults but of another species. So I'll let my mate have a look at the pic and see what he thinks.
Then drove to Hibaldstow Bridge [River Ancholme] in the hope of seeing an Osprey but alas didn't, I did see the parachutists falling out the sky and landing nearby, which I enjoyed. The only birds were five Swallow, one Kestrel and a dozen Goldfinch plus the obligatory Wood Pigeon and Crows. On the drive back to main road spotted two Weasels chasing each other, tried getting a pic but they went under the car and then in the grass.
Arrived at Worlaby 15.40. Saw the following: Sprawk - 1, Buzz - 2, Kestrel - 2, LBB Gull - 6, Grey Heron - 1, House Martin - c55, Red-leg Partridge - 12, Goldfinch - 15, Starling - c100, un-ID distant Gulls - c70, crows and wood pigeon. It was two hours before I saw an human being. I decided to stay till dark in hope of a Barnie but nowt. I usually go down Bonby lane but there was too many tractors etc so stayed away.
It was hard going with birds few and far between, it's okay for those who don't mind trekking the tracks but I stayed next to car. Because of the lack of birds I was welcome to see owt including the air ambulance and an un-manned balloon
Then the runners and cyclists put in an appearance. Not forgetting the constant stream of trains 
I could hear the ducks asking where their tea was, and later it arrived Worlaby can be one of the best places to view and also one of the worst. I've never seen as much Ragwort as was there!
Anyway I enjoyed my time there as always, it got me out for a few hours and I finally left at 20.30 with a couple of Bats flying alongside.
