The only things i can add to that is an extra 6 Curlew Sands (9 on reedbed at one point, 1 on scrapes) and an extra Peregrine (adult pr soaring over reserve mid-morning). Also a report of Osprey over at approx midday. Saw the resulting flush of waders, but didn't see the culprit! |

Red necked phalarope still on middle scrape as I left at 24/16:15 this afternoon. Best viewed from road down to sea wall about 100 metres past the mound with a seat bench. Alternatively, look right towards a few small sandy/muddy islands from entering 360 Hide. Other birds seen: 2 x Marsh Harrier at least 6 x Pintail 1 x Curlew Sandpiper 2800 x Black tailed Godwits I was told. Several Common Sandpiper Lots of ruff 3 x Spotted Redshank 1 x Barnacle Goose in amongst the Canadas Lots of Dunlin and Knot in amongst the Godwits. 1 x Garganey Quite a few wigeon now, Cheers Matthew. |
