Think I may have found a lone pectoral sandpiper at Blackmoor Bridge around mid-day. Unfortunately it was some distance away (over 100 yards away) and seemed to disappear rather quickly. Many areas for it to hide so it may still be present. Lots of lapwing in the vicinity

I see from Birdguides there was a pec sand reported from Harmston less than a mile from Blackmoor. Has any one got any info. My sighting was only on view for about five minutes and then disappeared

I hope it stays for a week or more like the one at Marston last year!

Chris,

Re your query, "Has anyone got any info?".....

It's one and the same bird : yours!!

The "BirdGuides" report on 13 August (quoting from your report referencing 'around midday') reads :

" (?)... 21.31 Pectoral Sandpiper..Lincs..Harmston..12.00.. possible at Blackmoor Bridge briefly at midday."................. The administrator/recorder at "BirdGuides" has merely slotted in 'Harmston' as the nearest identifiable village to Blackmoor Bridge.

Thanks for that Freddy I couldn't think where in the vicinity of Harmston the bird was likely to be seen
I forgot to report it to Birdguides which made me think there were two reports
