A few hours on Croft Marsh from dawn. Highlights: Harvey's 2 Spoonbill 16 little Egrets fishing in the diminishing pool in front of hide 1 Spotted Redshank briefly before chased off by resident Avocet 17 Snipe (2 groups passing through one of 6 one of 11) 1 Marsh Harrier Tennyson Sands 1 Ruff 1 Common Sandpiper 1 Wood Sandpiper 1 Greenshank Same Marsh Harrier returning Numerous Black Tailed Godwit Fenland 1 Whimbrel Cheers Russ |

Did a.m and p.m Sea watches at the North End of Gib. Best birds were 11 Arctic Skua (with one juv bird showing white patches on the leading secondary coverts looking like headlights) and another single Sooty Shearwater north close in at 1740. Regards Nige |
