James Siddle recorded 2 Pied Flycatchers near the main RAF look-out tower and I also saw one in the willow hedge down at the south end. The landside was rather quiet with only the odd warbler seen, plus a Green Sandpiper and 145 Golden Plovers. An hour and a half watch on the rising tide produced 85 Sandwich Terns, 25 Common Terns, 2 Arctic Terns, one Little Gull, 2 Arctic Skuas, one sub-adult Pomarine Skua, 16 Cormorants, 11 Gannets, 2 Guillemots, 84 Common Scoters, 15 Teal and 3 Eiders.

Between Pye's and the RAF base there was also a Cuckoo, Turtle Dove, Snipe, GS Woodpecker, 2 Willow Warblers, 10 Kestrels, a Yellow Wagtail and a Greenshank.
