a single brent goose was a surprise when Andrew Vaughan and I decided to do something different and booked ourselves on the Boston Belle on the RSPB Wash trip Other highlights included osprey 1 peregrine falcon 2 sparrowhawk 1 marsh harrier 4 kestrel 2 greenshank 2 ringed plover c100 bar tailed godwit c500 black tailed godwt c1500 mainly at Frampton Marsh knot c500 dunlin c300 oystercatcher c1500 common sandpiper c50 turnstone c100 redshank c50 whimbrel c50 curlew c100 snipe 2 Frampton Marsh RSPB ruff 1 Frampton Marsh RSPB little egret c100 common tern c100 sandwich tern c50 black headed gull c3000 lesser black back gull c2000 great black backed gull c500 herring gull c1000 common gull c12 wigeon 26 mallard gadwall shoveler Frampton Marsh coot moorhen magpie swallow c100 swift c10 house martin c50 wood pigeon collared dove stock dove 4 greenfinch 2 reed buning house sparrow blackbird goldfinch brent goose 1 cormorant c100 great crested grebe 6 Frampton Marsh RSPB little grebe c20 Frampton Marsh tufted duck Frampton Marsh RSPB shelduck pied wagtail yellow wagtail 2 mute swan all on the reserve starling c2500 greylag goose and an 18 inch to 2 foot grass snake across Frampton Marsh RSPB car-park as we were leaving Nothing on the sea but we missed some good species missed also unfortunately - such as little tern, merlin, hobby, jay, black necked grebe, curlew sandpiper, little stint & grey wagtail |

All the new landscaping that they have done looks really nice and there were most definitely no snakes. ![]() |
