A pair of Oystercatchers have successfully reared two young adjacent to the reservoir at Market Rasen Race Course. I am aware that single Oystercatcher fledglings have been recorded at RAF Waddington and North Kelsey Moor this year. They appear to be spreading to inland sites - has anyone else got similar records this year? |

Stuart. The pr at Waddington fledged 3 young and they survived and are still in the local area. Lapwings have had a good year with at least 9 pr having at least 2 broods each with a 30-50% survival rate which has shrunk to lower than that once they started moving around. Off the airfield it looks to be quite a decent year as well with adults and young coming visiting. Cheer's Brian. |

Three pairs at Whisby this year. Two failed but the third successfully fledged two young. Cheers Grahame |

A pair at Woodhall Spa Country Park caravan site. I am told that they were seen with young but don't know if reared successfully. Same in 2011. Regards, John |
