4 sandpiper species 'on display' at Frampton Marsh - Curlew, Common, Green and Wood Sands all visible this afternoon on the reserve.

Also large numbers of Black-tailed Godwits, roughly 200-250 in total on the Reedbed scrape, as well as 1 juv Little Ringed Plover, 20 Little Egret, 1 Avocet, 15 Common Tern, 2 Great Crested Grebe, 2 Cormorant, 100 Lapwing, large flock of Starlings, 2 Skylark, 5 Linnet, a flock of 11 leucistic Mallards, Coot, Black-headed Gull (some losing breeding plumage), 1 White Wagtail and 2 Tree Sparrow just outside the 360 Hide.

Fox and Tawny Owl heard last night from home!

I read this as Marsh Sandpiper and got very excited for a couple of seconds. :lol:

Nice sandpipers though, When the White-rumped Sandpiper was at Frampton i had Wood and Green also at Frampton and Common At Covenham Res.

I had a chat with John Badley a couple of weeks ago and suggested it was about time Frampton had a Marsh Sand, so Katherine your post title gave me a temporary thrill too.
