There was a White-rumped Sandpiper on the muddy pools on the grassland to the East of East hide around midday today. It was not too distant but the heat haze made picking out characters a challenge - it did stay well out in view for an hour after found and was still showing when I left. Most certainly a different bird to last weeks, moult has started and the head was strangely pale buff/grey and virtually uniform with no supercillium and only a faint, dark 'mohican' line from forehead to nape. Scapulars also moulting. Well streaked breast band and flanks. Perhaps somebody will post a photo.
