I found a 3rd Spotted Flycatcher nest in Dunsby this afternoon. All 3 nests are within about 200 metres of each other.
Nest 1. 8ft above a regularly used East facing door in a rambling rose. 1 bird fledged 2nd July.
Nest 2. At 5ft on a West facing trellis with Clematis. 2 birds due to fledge anytime now.
Nest 3. 5ft up the ivy covered trunk of a large conifer. 3(?) young due to fledge around the 15th.
In all cases there are 2 adults in attendance and I put the low fledging rate down to the abysmal weather.
