Post subject:  Cranwell Heath 'singing' Quail

As a result of the poor weather, I have been struggling to get all my farmland bird survey's done. I normally would have finished them all by the end of May.

Today I had a good morning:

Quail 2 (singing birds in barley at 0600am, and one bird watched for 10 minutes singing along a tram-line :D )
Corn Bunting 2 (one singing)
Hobby 1
Buzzard 4
Shelduck (!) two north
Common Tern (!) one north
Lapwing 24 (A non-breeding flock?)
