Drake garganey still on the main LWT Pit in front of the large island at Kirkby on Bain this morning, approx 9.30 am with probable female garganey skulking in and amongst the reeds at the back of the pit viewed from the main hide. A small duck looking pale brown with a darker brown cap and pale speculum showing from distance. Couldnt discern any facial patterning but looked like a female garganey to me but not 100% sure. It got short shrift from a Coot at one point and made a splashy escape into the reeds. Maybe somebody will confirm today...
