A plethora of mimicry eminating from the buckthorn led me to a Marsh Warbler this morning, also showed well at times with patience, behind the boating lake close to the cycle track 15yds south of the green footbridge, *still present late morning but less vocal. .also a very late Fieldfare Humberston. |

nice one dave, it was driving the adjacent sedgy mad at 1500hrs showed briefly twice, a right little music box. also short eared owl south of humberston and barn owl 2 redshank giving a cuckoo a torrid time at 1800hrs at grainthorpe buzzard 4 yell wags terry whalin

Marsh warbler showed on and off while I was there 2 - 2:30 and sang for 10 minutes of those 30. Directions, Coming from the boating lake you have to go over the green footbridge on the boating lake that Dave mentioned then go up and down the steps you then come to a brown walkway heading to the beach, walk down there and turn right after the walkway, walk about 10 yards down there and on your right will be a small patch of reeds. The bird favours a broken branch towards the back of the reeds but before the bushes. Obviously the bird can move around so it's not 100% Guaranteed. Hopes this helps anyone going for it tomorrow. (I only gave specific directions as when I arrived on site today there were two birders looking at the wrong side) |

Showing really well mid-morning today, Wednesday, in artificial reed-bed on boating lake - over green foot-bridge previously mentioned then immediately turn left. Cheers, Patrick. |

Looked for it yesterday evening. It had been seen around 19.15 in buckthorn (not on the artificial red bed). Go over the green bridge, cross cycle path and continue on brown boardwalk towards sea. Where this ends, go immediately right for a few yards into an open area. Bird was between there and the cycle path. However, a 45 minute wait in misty conditions until 20.15 last night produced nothing. Geoff |

Still present and singing today. Geoff. Stay on the cycle path @15yds sth of the green bridge and the bird is just 5yds in the scrub, it has barely moved from this spot since first found, the bird tends to sing for 5 minutes on and off, it has not been in the artificial reed bed where there is a singing Reed Warbler!!!!

Caught up with it today – singing well 13.30-14.30 and showing for a few seconds at a time. It was noticeable that the vegetation all around the site had been well-trampled since our visit on Wednesday evening. Best views to be had from the cycle track! Geoff |

Still present this afternoon just to the South East of the Cycle track 10m from Green bridge opposite light railway stopping point, managed to hear it's repertoire over the noise of the 100's of People, Cyclists & Occasional Train Whistles. |
