Post subject:  Sorry ending at Donna Nook 20th May.

Further to the notes in early May on 'Nature, red in tooth and claw', re the Bonxie killing Coots, I was still sorry by today's observation at Donna Nook. I flushed a male Peregrine on the dunes between Stonebridge and Pye's Hall. It carried its prey, a Cuckoo that it had been plucking on a footpath in the dunes, over to the adjacent field inland. A sad end for a much loved bird after its long trek back to Donna Nook. I still love Peregrines though.
