This morning; Curlew sandpiper - 4 Ruff - 13 Common sandpiper - 1 Great skua - killed a coot (at least the third one). It's also been reported to have killed a Lapwing. Wheatear - 2 Hen harrier - two ringtails. Certainly not Monts, but couldn't 100% rule out the other option. Marsh harrier - 1 Short-eared Owl - 1 Barn owl - 1 Scaup - 1 No sign of the stilts today, perhaps the marauding skua put them off. Ian D & John |
