A few more migrants recorded than yesterday. After the heavy rain of early morning there were 3 Wheatears, 5 Yellow Wagtails, 2 Whimbrels, 2 Sandwich Terns, one Little Tern, 8 Swallows, 5 Cuckoos, 3 Grasshopper Warblers, one Blackcap, 2 Whitethroats and 3 Chiffchaffs. No doubt there were more warblers present as few birds were singing in the blustery conditions. Also seen were 4 Sparrowhawks wheeling high to the north, one Merlin and one Corn Bunting.

Regards SL.

In abysmally wet conditions this morning (27th), highlights at the south end of Donna Nook were 9 Wheatears, 6 Swifts and a male Ring Ouzel.

Regards, SL.
