Threatening weather and a tremendous downpour didn't put off the crowds or the birds
the black winged stilt showed well all day on the wet grassland under the sea bank to the left of the road
other highlights
jack snipe 1
whimbrel at least 3
yellow wagtail 1
sedge warbler 3
peregrine 1
kestrel 2
scaup 1 male
goldeneye 1 female
black tailed godwit c80
ruff c60
little ringed plover 8
ringed plover 12
little egret 12
brent goose c500
swallow c100
nice to talk to Ed MacKrill and Neil Drinkall
