Yellow leg tag LUC seen last winter was seen this winter as well at Buck Beck Cleethorpes in exactly same spot. Norway, Cleethorpes, Norway, Cleethorpes. Given the location of this bird in late spring, I thought it might be a Siberian 'canutus' but the BTO Migration Atlas gives a fascinating insight into the migration route of 'islandica' birds en route to Northern Greenland breeding grounds. Kev |
