A phone call from David Lillywhite at 16.45 today alerted me to the presence of 4 Red Kites between Welton le Marsh and Skendleby. Monica and I went up to see them and followed their progress east to watch them fly directly over our house in Welton le Marsh ( not a garden tick). George Rutter phoned a while later to say that they were perched in trees on the Sloothby road, we went to see and had all 4 perched and flying around for about 30 mins. They then moved on towards Sloothby. I've gone into detail because the presence of 4 Red Kites together in this neck of the woods is bordering on the realms of fantasy!
