A quick dash to K on B Gravel Pits and a tired walk around Kirkby Moor this late afternoon and I saw:
RiverSlea Pit: both Smew still there, 2 x Kingfishers, 40 x Siskins in the tall trees at the back of the main LWT Hide Pit, 1 x Egyptian Goose.

Kirkby Moor: 22 x Meadow Pipit, 1 x Green Woodpecker, 2 x Great Spotted Woodpecker.

Nocton Fen on the way home: 1 x Barn Owl.
The meadow pipits were in the dead tree on the right hand side of the track as you drive across the Moor. I dont think Ive ever seen that many meadow pipits together resting/preening sat in a tree but overall the siskins were the highlight for me.

Regards,
Matthew.

The White Stork seems to have gone?

Not heard about it being reported anywhere else in the UK in the last week?

Andrew

I looked for it Andrew but didnt see it. Most of the gulls were on the pits which made looking easier. The general visibility was quite poor but no luck - I couldnt find it. The siskins made up for it though...

Cheers,
Matthew.
