Just returned from the resevoir with 850 pictures

An awesome bird! Didnt dive while i was there although the bird was doing a bit of a diver dance on its own. Photos will follow once I have gone through them all

Keith Robinson says the bird is oiled which may well account for its lethargic performance today. It didn't dive in the hour I watched it and was often within 10m of the N bank. It's a juv.

I have a couple of pictures of the birds oil marks I will post tommorrow sometime its only a small oil mark but its enough

After you left John the diver sped to the middle of the reservoir and dived for about 1/2 hour then returned to the North wall. Later it disappeared altogether not sure if it was seen after 15:00pm

The Diver was still there to-day and showing well at times though mobile and sometimes very distant!

Showed yesterday, (Thursday) 3-4pm close in on the west side, just south of yacht club. Dancing, diving and preening, obviously trying to remove oil. Did not appear to have as much oil on it as it had on photographs taken earlier in the week.

Hi Trevor. I spoke to Keith Robinson today at Pye's Hall. He had seen the bird yesterday and
it was free of any oiling. It was diving and he saw it surface with a fish, which it promptly ate.
Keith visited Cov Res today and could not find the bird. He suspects that it has recovered and
has now moved on.

The Red Throated Diver was still Present today although in the middle! Still doing its dances on the water. Not much else of note around the first shelducks came in and a Buzzard flew over.
