Six white fronted geese on Pursuit Pit this morn. There has been 7 for the last 10-11 days I was informed.

They were later reported around the New Pits.

At last I caught up with the short eared owl. It was hunting widely last night aswel as 2 barn owls.

Today I could not find the white front, although they had been seen yesterday. I did, however, see 6 avocet and a siskin but also eaves dropped on a group of flirting shoveler and from the peace of ness hide you could clearly hear their throaty chuntering amid head bobbing and general posturing.
