Freiston Shore
Red-necked grebe - 1
Red-breasted merganser - 10
Scaup - 1
Eider - 8
Hen harrier - 1
Marsh harrier - 1
Merlin - 1
Black brant - 1 (Cut End - Paul Sullivan)

Is it likely to hang around? If I get this grebe, I'll have completed the main British Grebes group on my list, but I can't realistically get to the reserve until Monday.... whereabouts was it at Freiston?

It was on the sea from the Wash watching shelter and a long way out. It was only because it was flying that we could identify it at that range. I wouldn't like to try and find it again....
