Reported by Alan Ball A count of 17 Red Kites at Stainby Tip yesterday (16th Feb) including wing-tagged birds. Also: 1 yelow-legged gull 3 Common Buzzard |

I had a minimum of ten kites there today - of which 4 were tagged, two of which I read. One bird (white-pink 74 - tagged June '09 in Northants) I last saw there in December '10 - shortly afterwards I understand it was taken into care at Buckminster in early January '11 - clearly has done fine since its subsequent release. One buzzard also. Didn't count / scan the gulls... Vin |
