A stunning day today once the fog had cleared and with the temperature at minus 7 degrees centigrade when I arrived just after 13:00. There were some fabulous landscapes with the reserve being about 95% frozen and some of the mist lingering Out on the salt-marsh were peregrine, marsh, hen harriers and large numbers of brent geese a long way out 3 whooper swan in front of the visitor with large numbers of wigeon, teal and mallard Good numbers of pintail but couldn't find the scaup or white-fronted geese
