After a fruitless hour or so searching for GWE and not seeing it, I decided to buck the habits of a lifetime and 'scope the large numbers of gulls on Kirby landfill site. I fairly soon picked up both 1stW and adult Caspian Gulls. There were upwards of 3000 gulls on the tip and surrounding fields, so who knows what I missed ..?

Well Phil you missed the GWE by a short head I believe as it was on the pit opposite the refuse amenity but I know who you feel as this was about my fifth attempt at finding it. Had the same misfortune with the 2009 bird

"but I know who you feel"

Typo or is there something salacious going on? I think we should be told
