A male smew was on Pursuit Pit (the large lake near the New Visitor Centre) this dinner time. A few people had been trying to find it without luck so maybe this bird is moving around a lot. I saw it in open water and also really close to the road but then it was gone, how far gone I'm not sure. Yesterday there was a short eared owl along the foreshore too. |

Smew on Bridge Pit at 1pm along with 2f goldeneye, 1 great crested grebe and a few tufted ducks. C10 shoveler & 7+ Pochard on Pursuit. Dave |

On Hotel pit this morning right up against hotel. |
