A quick outing today provided 4 Tundra Bean geese 13 Whooper swans 37 Mute swans 300 + Mixed flock of thrushes 1 Little grebe 3 Roe Deer A couple of birdwatchers around flying visits from the looks of things. |

a visit just before dusk after grainthorpe, bit busy at grainthorpe 2 police cars chasing around after poachers, caught 2 cars 3 lads and a woman ferreting near the turkey barn, thorseby bridge 4 beans 9 whoopers 44 mutes short eared owl no bewicks last couple of visits have seen upto 3 birds but they also get onto the fields over the back towards the inland side of tetney lock. terry whalin

Friday 30th Dec 1035am - 1200pm. 4 x Bean Geese still present 2 x adult Bewick Swans 11 x Whooper Swans 1 x Common Buzzard. 5 x Kestrels 1 x Sparrowhawk in Washingborough. Matthew. |

mid afternoon visit 4 bean geese 14 whooper swan 2 bewick swan my first for 3 visits 43 mute scattered over 4 fields 250 birds mixed flock fieldfare, redwing grainthorpe superb male hen harrier peregrine 50 shelduck 200 brents lapland bunting terry whalin happy new year folks
