Hi,

Still good numbers of birds about at Frampton despite a partial freeze of the freshwater habitats;

Whooper swan - still at least 14 roosting on the reedbed at night
White-fronted goose - 22
Pale-bellied brent goose - one with dark bellied bg yesterday
Smew - at least one of the two female/immatures still present on the reedbed
Teal - 866 on the reedbed yesterday
Golden plover - 2340 yesterday
Merlin - 1 today (two or three yesterday)
Peregrine - 1 yesterday
Hen harrier - 2 yesterday
Marsh harrier - 1 yesterday
Spotted redshank - 1 yesterday
Black-tailed godwit - 20, some feeding to within 10m of the visitor centre windows!
Ruff - 20 yesterday
Lapland bunting - one was 70cm from the 360 hide today, so close you had to sit forward and look down on it!

Cheers,

John
