A cold but bright and still morning on the patch, quiet except for:- c170 Pink-footed Geese flew west at 09:50. 23 Shoveler and 67 Teal on and around the small area of unfrozen water on the mere. 1 Merlin chasing a finch, my first record on the patch since 1996. A flock of 4 Blue and c15 Long-tailed Tits. A pair of Bullfinches feeding on willow buds. |
