No sign of the Goosanders or Teal on Riseholme Hall Lake this morning (Sat). I circumambulated the lake (even walking round it :D ) between 10.30 - 11.30 but the only birds sat out on the ice or swimming on the very few open areas of water or up on the banks were :
Mallard
Moorhen
Coot
spp Gulls

plus a flock of c 35 feral Canada Geese grazing nearby.

The only finches around the many mast-laden Beeches (and Alders) were Chaffinch and Goldfinch. Are we to have yet another winter with very few Brambling records for mid-Lincs ?

There was a welcome group of c 25 Redwings, some giving close views of their attractive plumage.
All in all, a pleasant hour's walk in the bright sunshine. :D

An abundance of Beech mast in our area, Freddy; so, we await!
